The Tale of our Russian Adoption: Moscow ~~ The last of the last

http://katherinesadoption.blogspot.com/2008/12/moscow-last-of-last.html

The Tale of our Russian Adoption. Moscow The last of the last. Our ride showed up and we were off to the medical exam. We arrived at what looked like a large apartment building and inside there was a long line that I gratefully found out had nothing to do with us. We wove through a couple of hallways to the office. Inside there were several families already waiting to see the doctor. We took seats and Oksana. Went and talked to the desk. Jeffrey was sliding in and out of his seat and looking for somethin...

The Tale of our Russian Adoption: The Second Trip ~~ Back in the USSR

http://katherinesadoption.blogspot.com/2008/11/jeff-and-i-met-in-1998-both-divorced.html

The Tale of our Russian Adoption. The Second Trip Back in the USSR. This trip included Jeff, myself, Emily (our 16 year old) and of course Jeffrey. Here we are someplace in Europe waiting for our next flight. (You can tell I was tired before we even started because I couldn't remember where we were, but I think it's probably Paris). Flying somewhere over Europe:. And here we are landing in St Petersburg. Notice all the fires? We met up with our driver who was sent from the agency and he drove us to the s...

The Tale of our Russian Adoption: Our First Trip

http://katherinesadoption.blogspot.com/2008/11/adventure-begins.html

The Tale of our Russian Adoption. So the three of us (Jeff, myself and Jeffrey) set off in the dead of winter on our journey. Jeffrey and some of our 1/2 ton of luggage waiting at LAX. A couple of shots flying over the Rockies:. Our plane getting fueled up:. Finally, countless hours after we took off from LA, we landed in St Petersburg Russia. I immediately felt guilty. Was that me? Not dressed to go outside. Eeeez. That how you 'ave dressed him for this terrible cold? We discovered that we had 1/2 ton o...

The Tale of our Russian Adoption: Pictures....

http://katherinesadoption.blogspot.com/2008/11/pictures.html

The Tale of our Russian Adoption. These were taken the first week she got home (all 33 pounds of her). Note the missing tooth. we never did find out how she had it knocked out. We had the other front one pulled not too long after this because it was damaged as well. We took her to Build a Bear and she was a bit overwhelmed and didn't want to pick anything but after a bit of encouraging she ended up choosing the pink poodle and loving it. This is at a Bar Mitzvah about a month after she got home. Russian ...

A Little Slice of Life: January 2010

http://a-little-slice-of-life.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html

A Little Slice of Life. Friday, January 8, 2010. Socks, Jeans and Baby Fat. Why am I the only one without socks? Everyone else in the house has socks. What about me? I open my drawer and there is one pair of balled up socks rolling around and I'm not even sure if it's a matched set. I would blame the ravenous sock eating dryer but that would suggest that it was being selective in the socks it swallowed. I don't exactly give it that much credit. Of course I could be wrong. It sounds so much better that way.

Walt Disney World 2008: Day 4 ~~ Animal Kingdom & Magic Kingdom

http://waltdisneyworld2008.blogspot.com/2008/11/ok-so-brief-overview-of-how-we-got-here.html

Walt Disney World 2008. Day 4 Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom. By day 4 I had hoped maybe we could actually get an early start morning but apparently some of us don't read the memos:. You've met our son, Mr Pretzel Leg? Alex on the other hand is ALWAYS up early, but he goes out to the patio and plays his Nintendo. A few shots of all the plants surrounding our balcony:. We immediately got some fastpasses for Expedition Everest then walked the Maharajah Jungle Trek. It is so beautiful! We only spent about...

Walt Disney World 2009: Day 4 ~~ EPCOT

http://walt-disney-world-2009.blogspot.com/2010/08/day-4-epcot.html

Walt Disney World 2009. Seems there was going to be no relief this entire trip from the excruciating heat and humidity. But we were at Disney World so we will persevere! We always try to get out the door early but because we our body clocks are always 3 hours behind, we never seem to make it. Today we went EPCOT. When we got there we headed straight to the Land for Soarin' Fastpasses. Then we picked up a Kim Possible Walkie Talkie so the kids could do the mission when we headed into the countries. One da...

Walt Disney World 2009. Day Travel and Check-in. Welcome to our August 2009 trip to Walt Disney World! First a quick intro about who participated:. Daughter Katherine (10) and. Our trip report starts on the plane which we boarded on time and with no delays. As usual I got to sit with the dynamic duo. Jeff and Alex sat across the aisle. I guess they didn't need their picture taken. Before we knew it we were backing away from the gate and heading for the runway. Almost 5 hours of flying and we finally made...

A Little Slice of Life: December 2008

http://a-little-slice-of-life.blogspot.com/2008_12_01_archive.html

A Little Slice of Life. Sunday, December 28, 2008. The time between Christmas and New Years is like a week long purgatory. You are done with one year and in a holding pattern waiting for the next one to start. You are given a week to consider how you will make things better (should you choose to do so) for the coming year. All week I keep saying I will start eating properly and get back to the gym. But I keep rationalizing that I can't do anything until this stinky year is all finished and done with.

Waiting for Baby Peterson. Sunday, February 28, 2010. We had a great 1st night of sleep. He did so well! He was eating great and playing so well. We knew it had to be a dream. and it was. Thanks Anna and Katya! Maks is having some medical distresses. I thought I'd actually post some of them on here in case anyone has run into this before and has thoughts or ideas. If you've been in Russia when you've run into this it would be even more helpful, but we'll take all suggestions. 2 He has a goofy rash lookin...

Maks has been home now for almost 4 months! I can't believe it. The last posting was at the beginning of May and way too much has happened to catch up on everything. Some of the highlights. http://waitingforbabypeterson.blogspot.com/2010/08/end-of-this-line.html

Waiting for Baby Peterson. Thursday, August 12, 2010. The end of this line. I think the last post I made into the blog is a great place to end our "Waiting for Baby Peterson" blog and begin a new one about both of our kids. Its proving to be even more difficult to update a blog with 2 kids, let alone 2 blogs with 2 kids. :) I still want to update a blog frequently though and will commit to making it happen!
