Jura is an Island in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland, its name comes from the Norse meaning Deer Island. The Island is 29 miles long and 7 miles wide at its widest point and remains wild and unspoilt. There is only one road on Jura which is a single track road with passing places. The road starts at Feolin and travels around the southeast coast of Jura and then up the east coast to just beyond Lealt. From here it is a private road/track which must be travelled on by foot. Jura Ferry at Port Askaig.

Prices for Jura Holiday Let 2011 and 2012. Bookings are all for full weeks, Saturday to Saturday. Arrival is no earlier than 3pm and the premises must be vacated by 10 am on the day of departure. Other periods of Let can be considered with prior consultation. Included in the price is electricity, fuel for the fire and all bedlinen required. Short breaks are available over the winter period (November to February) excluding the Festive Season, £50 per night (3 nights minimum). One of our double bedrooms.

Jura can be reached by public transport, via Islay, either by Caledonian MacBrayne car ferry from Kennacraig or by regular, Loganair flights (operated on behalf of British Airways) from Glasgow Airport. You are then required to cross from Islay at Port Askaig via the Jura Ferry. Road and Car Ferry. Take the A82 out of Glasgow or follow the M8 route over the Erskine bridge onto the A82.
