Whiter whites and brighter brights for a much cheaper price. I recently ran across this recipe for DIY laundry detergent. I found all of the ingredients at Walmart. I am really happy with the results and the savings. My family calls me the Laundry Queen and this concoction gets the Laundry Queen’s stamp of approval. Here is the recipe:. 2 1/2 ounces fels naptha soap, grated into flakes (I used a cheese grated). 1 cup washing soda. Mix together and keep in closed container. Use one tablespoon per load.
