Monday, June 30, 2014. Most of the time I enjoy the movement of things. New experiences and growth always lead to unexplored places. Movement in the home and garden also have their place. It was always the plan to have the 2 bean girls share a room. The nursery. The work room is going to be simple. Found objects and using what we have to create this new place for our family. Inspiration paper and thrift store chair is the start. Closet cleared and supplies starting to get organized. Sunday, June 22, 2014.

Tuesday, February 25, 2014. The snow is back in the forecast for the weekend here and the rumor is our temps will remain cold all through March. So we are taking it slow here. I don't feel the urgency towards the garden as I have in years past. Just enjoying the crackling fires at night with the beans. Maybe it's my way to try to slow down time in hopes that these little people won't grow so fast! I am tucking away seed packets here and there as I go. To get going with my learning to sew. But because it'...

Friday, April 24, 2015. Stepping into spring this week. There have been a few more things but I think you catch my drift! It was like everywhere I turned people were talking about what they were doing to get back to nature. Making more conscious choices in their everyday lives to do better. Pretty cool eh? Shrubs that have gone in. Known for its large waterlily like blooms. Clethra Alnifolia, North American native “Sweet Pepperbush". Attracts bees and butterflies. Itea Virginica "Little Henry-Sweetspire".

Monday, March 31, 2014. Working it out around here. We have finally had some nice weather! Today we were busy relocating some of our raised garden beds and the beans helped me drill our box together. I made a special point to tell my daughter that she is a strong girl who can work a drill just as good as any boy! The good thing about my little helpers is that they are amazing at amending the soil for me and finding worms to add to our boxes. The lovely Jennifer from Three Dogs In A Garden. The little thi...

Thursday, May 29, 2014. A collection.around these parts. School is winding down and summer break is upon us. Kinda nice to have a loose schedule to look forward to. Here is what has been making me smile as of late. My youngest getting the hang of the creek. The front garden is a work in progress but it is coming along a little further this year. An awesome scene at the arboretum. Found this bench to be perfectly magical tucked into a woodland garden on a stroll with the beans. Sun Dried Tomato Pasta.

Wednesday, August 27, 2014. So while we are waiting for the backyard stuff. To get finished up (still waiting on the permit) I have been working on little projects here and there. The state of the backyard has left us with a lot of mud but that doesn't stop the beans from using the space.enter mud and fence posts! But we have been visiting parks when it gets really muddy. Here is one of our local parks that is still loaded with summer color thanks to an impressive use of annuals. Kids in the garden.
