Wednesday, May 16, 2012. 15th Annual Desert Storm - April 24th-27th, 2012. This is the time of year when the REALLY, REALLY big boats come to town. Some are hauled by 18-wheelers, many are so wide that they travel on their sides. Desert Storm comes to my town for 4 magnificent days. It has something for everyone. Even fur-babies come to checkout the boats (and leave p-mail on the trailer tires). Take a look at this schedule:. Wednesday, April 24th: Havasu For Youth Charity Rides. It's the Priates' Cove B...

Just another WordPress.com site. May 15, 2012. The European Union is potentially the most boring political science topic I have ever studied in my life. Whenever anyone travels in Europe (or the world I suppose), READ non-fiction books and classical literature about the city or country you are going to before. When I first got to Europe I brought one reading book with me,. If you are in Amsterdam-read. The Diary of Anne Frank. The best cities to live in Europe. May 11, 2012. Thursday, July 23, 2009. Proud to be an American. Fourth of July in DC is always an exciting experience (except dealing with the masses of tourists who converge on the city). You've got the excitement of being in the capital on America's birthday, you have the parades, and, most importantly, you have the fireworks. What could be bad about that? Here are some pics from the day:. Benny and I claiming our spot. Great view of the Washington at night. Happy birthday, America! But of course, I can't think of t...

A one year old's view of his world. Friday, April 3, 2009. I have a great sense of humor and I love to make jokes. Here are some of my recent ones. I was helping my mom clean my room the other day and we were picking my books up off the floor and stacking them onto the ottoman by my rocking chair. We stacked them all very neatly and then I got behind the ottoman, looked at my mommy with a twinkle in my eye and said, "Ready? I'm sure she appreciates my help. I make my parents laugh every day. I just h...

Sunday, December 15, 2013. It's OVER. for Now. Three years, 11 surgeries, 11 trips to Chicago, 40 fills and 12 expanders over 5 rounds, two infections, and one emergency surgery - and it's time to sit back and rest INDEFINITELY. We didn't make it as far as we had hoped with surgery #11, but we've gotten as far as we can for now. Dr. Bauer's exact words were "It's time to accept that you're DONE! And just to make it official, I will NOT have a surgery on Dr. Bauer's calendar in 2014. Yipee! On that note, ...

Monday, January 2, 2017. Word of the Year and Projects of 2016. At the beginning of 2016, I chose the word "finish" as my word for the year. I can't tell you how much having that word always in the back of my mind helped me out, and I actually ended the year without any unfinished projects laying around! Finish" also helped to stop me from starting multiple projects at one time! I was able to focus on one project at a time, complete it, and move on to the next. Useful Shelves from Old Drawers.
