Life in a glass house; no stones allowed.: September 2012
http://glasshouseministrywives.blogspot.com/2012_09_01_archive.html
Life in a glass house; no stones allowed. Monday, September 17, 2012. How Desperate Are You? I'm reading Kelly Minter's book, No Other gods. Right now, and in addition to some applications that I wrote about here. God's given me some things I think that would apply to us ministry wives, but really to all women in general. It was VERY personal for me, as I will share further down! And try not to just see that desperation. Is that painful or what? We all want to scream, "Stoooop! Maybe it's your children&#...

Life in a glass house; no stones allowed.: Lessons from a Killdeer
http://glasshouseministrywives.blogspot.com/2014/05/lessons-from-killdeer.html
Life in a glass house; no stones allowed. Friday, May 16, 2014. Lessons from a Killdeer. She did it again. The mama killdeer put her nest smack dab in the middle of our side yard. What in the world? Aren't birds supposed to build nests up high out of harm's way? Does she not know that the ground is dangerous? That this is the place where lawnmowers ride and neighborhood boys play football? Psalm 91 came to mind as I've been thinking about this. I don't know about you, but I struggle with passages like th...

Life in a glass house; no stones allowed.: THE CROSS
http://glasshouseministrywives.blogspot.com/2013/03/the-cross.html
Life in a glass house; no stones allowed. Friday, March 29, 2013. Holy Week".something we often dismiss, yes even as Christians. Everybody's excited about Easter, as we should be. (And don't even get me started on the ridiculous Easter bunny hype. Ugh! The fact that Jesus rose again is what sets Him apart from any other god, leader, or prophet who came before Him or has come since. He IS the Messiah! This study combined with the cross brought a fresh awareness of the sacrifice that Jesus went through to ...

Life in a glass house; no stones allowed.: December 2012
http://glasshouseministrywives.blogspot.com/2012_12_01_archive.html
Life in a glass house; no stones allowed. Monday, December 31, 2012. My resolution for 2012 was John 3:30. A simple verse, but a huge request. " He must become greater; I must become less.". In this new season, we are at a crossroads. A new direction. So, I ask God to show me more of Himself. Help me to remain near, hear His voice, and follow Him wherever and whatever that is. I know that if I look back at only myself, I see only mistakes. I'm such a mess! Show me more of You, Jesus! Take the stage, Lord!

Life in a glass house; no stones allowed.: Abide
http://glasshouseministrywives.blogspot.com/2014/09/abide.html
Life in a glass house; no stones allowed. Monday, September 8, 2014. This is a small view of my backyard. I just finished studying Galatians as part of the IF:Equip. For this year, and He has used so many things since Jan 1 to bring me right back here. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, so neither can you, unless you abide in Me. Remain. Just Abide. Dwell. Endure. Be Present. Isn't that what God wants from us? Look closer. See that tree?

Life in a glass house; no stones allowed.: January 2013
http://glasshouseministrywives.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Life in a glass house; no stones allowed. Friday, January 25, 2013. That's me. I've been looking backwards most of my life. Living in past regrets. Past failures. Past scenarios where I've messed up, been hurt, or hurt. Even past victories. It's a difficult way to live. Always remembering, and never truly living in the present. Fearful and guarded. Living yesterday. This year is different. It's new. And it's a new "new." I decided that my one word. To pierce, impress on the memory, recollect, to mention,...

Life in a glass house; no stones allowed.: FOR HIS DISPLAY
http://glasshouseministrywives.blogspot.com/2013/04/for-his-display.html
Life in a glass house; no stones allowed. Wednesday, April 10, 2013. Despite the fact that my sweet dad planted a garden every year that I can remember, I was not born with a green thumb. I've always loved flowers and fresh veggies, but I can only recall one summer when I was very successful at this. Not because I wasn't able to, okay so maybe. A lot of times, my plants just died, but truly, I just wasn't willing to put the effort into the process of gardening. There's a lot to choose! As wheat. ". For t...
