The Burns Family: Summer Recap
http://mikeandjenniburns.blogspot.com/2011/08/summer-recap.html
Mike Jenni Sam Abby. Tuesday, August 9, 2011. Dressing up as cows for Cow Appreciation Day. Well, now that summer is just about over, I feel like I should do my quarterly update, which is about how often I do this! One day I'll be a regular blogger. Just like one day I'll be a regular journal-writer too! What a fun summer this has been! After about a week of being at home, the kids seemed to adjust to being around each other all the time and we settled into a nice relaxed routine. My New Favorite Website!

The Burns Family: August 2010
http://mikeandjenniburns.blogspot.com/2010_08_01_archive.html
Mike Jenni Sam Abby. Tuesday, August 24, 2010. Sam started kindergarten last week. He was a little nervous in the days leading up to the 19th, but when he woke up that morning, he was ready to go! I think I was more nervous than he was. I think we'll have to make this a family tradition. The morning of the first day went really smoothly. We had my Mom come over to stay with Abby so we'd be able to focus on Sam at school. I was feeling pretty good and even thinking I might get through the morning ...It wa...

The Burns Family: May 2010
http://mikeandjenniburns.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Mike Jenni Sam Abby. Tuesday, May 18, 2010. Today Sam had his graduation from preschool. He looked so cute! I made him wear a polo shirt (which for him is a huge deal since it required him to wear buttons - oh, dreaded buttons! I'm a little star shining bright. Growing bigger every night. When I finish preschool I will shout! I'm a star so ya better watch out. I can't believe how grown up he is getting. I kept thinking, before I know it he'll be graduating from Kindergarten, then elementary school, a...

The Burns Family: Bring on Fall!!
http://mikeandjenniburns.blogspot.com/2010/09/bring-on-fall.html
Mike Jenni Sam Abby. Tuesday, September 7, 2010. Well, we are now into the school routine (I think! He started his first karate class today. They offer it as an after school program at his school one day a week. I was able to watch for the last 10 minutes and it was cute to see him. He definitely has a lot of room to improve, but he loved it and is enthusiastic! Abby even enjoyed watching and was doing the different poses right along with the class. Too cute! The Burns Family: November 2010
http://mikeandjenniburns.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Mike Jenni Sam Abby. Wednesday, November 17, 2010. Sunday, November 14, 2010. Come what may and love it. Today and I used a talk by Elder Worthlin. I've thought on this a lot the last few weeks. I'm no longer teaching pre. School and had a been working there still, I would not have been available for it. And, I'm getting used to slowing down a bit and having more time for myself. It was very weird the first day Sam and Abby were both gone, but I am quickly getting used to it! Since we didn't have the fre...

The Burns Family: April 2010
http://mikeandjenniburns.blogspot.com/2010_04_01_archive.html
Mike Jenni Sam Abby. Sunday, April 25, 2010. On Thursday, we started out our day with Dunkin Donuts. This is a tradition we started a few years back. Since this is a rare treat (twice a year) the kids were on a sugar high all day. It was not a good day nutritionally! We were even able to pick out the bedding for his bunkbeds that we'll be getting this week. All in all, I think he had a great birthday! Saturday, April 17, 2010. Let the festivities begin! Today we celebrated Sam's 5th birthday! Instead of ...

The Burns Family: June 2011
http://mikeandjenniburns.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Mike Jenni Sam Abby. Monday, June 6, 2011. Playing Go Fish with Abby has proved to be one of the funniest and most frustrating things I've done in a while. She has such an interesting perspective on how the game should be played, which is far different from any way I've ever played it. He seems to accept this and then asks her for an octopus. She happily gives it to him and then looks at me and says,"It's a good thing I have 2 more! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). My New Favorite Website! I am a mother of tw...

The Burns Family: December 2009
http://mikeandjenniburns.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
Mike Jenni Sam Abby. Monday, December 21, 2009. It's hard to believe Christmas is just a few short days away. December seems to have flown by! We have been busy, busy baking, shopping, visiting with friends and family, and just enjoying this wonderful Christmas season. Amanda, Christy, and Kaylee (my sis-in-law and nieces) flew in last week as well. We are so excited to have them spend Christmas here. The cousins are getting along fabulously and it is so fun to watch them play together.
