Friday, April 23, 2010. Some of the big news: Alexa is toilet trained! We spent two weeks working on it very hard, but now she really seems to have it. She still wears pull-ups at night, and she has an accident every 2-3 days, but she wears underwear all day every day, and her accidents are always at home, which tells me they are actually within her control. Monday, January 24, 2011. A few end of 2010 pictures. I wanted a picture of Alexa in her sock monkey skirt and legwarmers. These were made by a cool etsy shop. Owner for Alexa at my request and she loves the outfit. She's really into pockets lately, they're kind of distraction actually, when she's supposed to be doing something else she's trying to put stuff in them. We did some gingerbread house decorating with some friends, and Alexa showed Sally her new storytelling app Pictello.

Monday, March 1, 2010. A few more fun February photos. Alexa is really great at riding her tricycle now. She routinely rides in a mile long circle around our neighborhood. She goes very fast sometime too. It seems like it took a year or two to get to this point, so we are really proud of her. How often have you seen a really great milk moustache? Monday, November 1, 2010. Alexa recycled her Curious George Costume for this Halloween. We programed "Trick or Treat" into her talker, and David took her round the neighborhood a little bit. I made a hat and wanted Alexa to model it for my Ravelry pictures, she defaults to this goofy grin when we ask her to smile. Still pretty cute. Thursday, November 3, 2011. A little update for Fall. The behavior issues are still present, but I'm doing better at dealing with them. I read a fantastic book called No Fighting, No Biting, No Screaming: How to make Behaving Positively Possible for People with Autism and Other Developmental Disabilites. Wow Take a bunch of kids who don't much like touching the insides of pumpkins, and it's a big job! Here's Alexa vacuuming, an activity that she adores beyond all explanation. We don't discourage it!

Monday, January 11, 2010. To Finish off 2009. I knitted Alexa a mommy and baby sock monkey. They will complete her family, since she has loved the now one-eyed, nearly bald daddy monkey nearly to death. She is starting to understand about presents, but never tried to open the packages before Christmas. We were at the beach in Florence again with David's side of the family for Christmas.
