Wednesday, May 21, 2014. May 21, 2014. May 21, 2014. One day this past week, I was assigned to take. Several groups of elementary school kids from a nearby city. For tours around Nauvoo. It was fun to see how excited they were to go on a "real" wagon ride pulled by "real" horses! First thing in the morning, we bring all 22 horses into the barn and feeding troughs for their morning grain and cleaning. We then harness those we're going to use during the day and turn the others back out to the corrals.

Wednesday, October 29, 2014. October 29, 2014. This is probably the most beautiful time of year here in the Midwest. It certainly is here in Nauvoo. The following pictures will hopefully give you an idea of the colors we've had here the past couple of weeks. Unfortunately, the leaves are now falling fast and leaving the trees bare for the winter- which I'm afraid is going to come much too fast for my liking! Here comes the parade! At about noon, the boy scouts and other volunteers put out the pumpkins.
