De-Constructing Life 2.0. I’m glad someone else hates the term “handicapable”. Tuesday, Mar 27 2007. I have always thought it was a terrible term (and I am liberal, so I usually am right up there saying we should call people what they want to be called and disavow anything they don’t or that is offensive)…in fact, I may even say it is offensive to me! Now, if an overwhelming number of disabled folks want me to call them that, I will, but I can’t see them liking that term one bit! So, the simulation.

Here, here, John! I’ve had many of the same emotions with this class–I have to keep reminding myself that it’s a learning experience and I feel like I’m learning a lot. You’re doing great! I’ve always been impressed with your work. April 17, 2007 at 5:14 pm. May 18, 2007 at 1:46 am. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

De-Constructing Life 2.0. Sunday, Mar 18 2007. Well, I have been poking and prodding images for days now and I think my eyes are finally glazing over! Possibly the toughest thing I have yet to master is touching up a photo without leaving marks of my own on it. I may have picked images that are too old, but with the amount of damage on some of them, I seem to want to over-touch them (that doesn’t sound good at all, does it? Monday, Mar 5 2007. That I saw, have talked about it in their blogs. After the ba...

Digital History Hacks (2005-08). Methodology for the infinite archive. Thursday, September 28, 2006. No 'Secret Syllabus' for Digital History. My colleague Rob MacDougall. Recently suggested that we teach to two syllabi, the one we give to students and a " secret. It's a fun observation and it rings true for me. It explains the asides that I bring to my survey lectures. Has been asking. Why did voyageurs practice a mock baptismal rite but not, say, a mock communion? William J. Turkel. The autumn term is ...

Tender Mercies

Tuesday, September 11, 2012. I once was lost; but now I'm found. I know, I know: I've been absent for over a year. Thank you for respecting my need for a little privacy and space. Today I bring you the story of the lost pen. For those of you who know me well, you know that I do not have the best relationship with my father. Without going into the gory details (oh! But there are some great stories there! No I did not dry the craisins- those are from Costco, as well as the cashews and almonds. But Apparent...
