I got to spend a whole week without my kids (Thanks Grandma and Grandpa! In a city that has more museums than I could see. Although I didn't even scratch the surface, I did my best! We also went to Mt. Vernon, Lincoln's summer home, a few historic homes and I got to see my best friend from middle school! The Mall at sunset. The museum at Ford's theater.

This is Simon's first time fishing. It looks like he'll be angling with the big boys in no time! That will make his Dad and Grandpa R. Proud! Wednesday, December 30, 2009. We read and acted out the Nativity Scene with the kids. I love this part of Christmas. The kids are so sweet in remembering our Savior! Its like the quiet before the storm of Christmas morning. This year, we pulled off the ultimate surprise for the kids. Santa actually delivered Papa and Nana to us on Christmas morning! It always amazes me how quickly we go from perfect presents under the tree to "after the storm hit" the family room. We stayed for hours and enjoyed the view.

Sunday, July 19, 2009. We left our home 4 weeks ago, and have had many adventures since. Here are a few of our adventures. We met up with our friends Ed and Becce Berg (and kids). In Savannah. Everywhere we went with our 7 kids, people just stared. Weird. Anyway, we climbed to the top of the Tybee Island Lighthouse. 178 steps to the top. JoeMaria.Joey.Luke.CeCe. Sunday, August 21, 2011. Joey's First Day of Preschool. Joey started preschool on Thursday. He wasn't excited and didn't even talk about going. I think that he would be 100% happy spending all day with me! But he needs to go to make friends and learn what it's like to be in school. My mom came into town for his first day of school so we weren't sure if he was going to cry a lot when he had to leave her to go. They are "BFF's". Joey He's that kid. Me and my boy:).

Wednesday, May 5, 2010. When we arrived it was snowing! So awesome for these Florida girls! She promptly made a snowman with her cousins when the sun came up the next morning. Just in case you're wondering, this is where I grew up. Sometimes I forget how amazing the mountains are, but each time I return I am reminded how truly majestic they are! I heart the rocky mountains. Bil and KT just welcomed sweet Eli into the world. They are some of the most attentive parents I've ever seen! Congrats Bil and KT!
