My "Last 10 Pounds" Weight Loss Blog: One Change At A Time
http://last10pounds-jeanne.blogspot.com/2008/10/one-change-at-time.html
Follow me on Twitter. One Change At A Time. I've heard it takes two weeks to make or break a habit. This might explain why weight loss that takes longer is more likely to stick. If your diet plan consists of small changes, one at a time, you're less likely to feel overwhelmed. Burnt The Chili. Now What? I'm making another pot. It seems like such a waste, but DH has the most SENSITIVE taste buds in the entire universe and beyond. I surfed a bit for some suggestions, and read about adding peanut butter to remove burnt flavour. I was desperate enough to try it, and sure enough the burnt taste is gone but now the chili tastes like peanut butter! And I only used about 2 tsp for a large pot). Um,. Sorry the-peanut-butter-saved-me fans. This isn't one of those "wow, it worked! On ano...

Follow me on Twitter. Grocery Lists And Nostalgia. I used to use a master list for Costco: I would print copies on my computer, and have one on the fridge, checking off items as we needed them. The list contained things that we had discovered were cheaper at Costco (because not everything is). I'm not sure why I stopped using it - I think I may have been out of printer ink and got out of the habit of printing my list. In any case, I haven't used it in awhile, until today. Awwww, my babies are growing up!

Follow me on Twitter. Check that one off my list: yesterday I called the bank and set up weekly mortgage payments. We were paying every two weeks, which is still more advantageous than once or twice a month, so now we'll save even more interest. (The difference between bi-weekly and weekly is not as great as the difference between monthly and bi-weekly, but it's still savings :). Here's a mortgage calculator so you can compare, and see how much money you would save:. Return to Fine Grind. It started me t...

My "Last 10 Pounds" Weight Loss Blog: Dr. Phil's Weight Loss Book: The Ultimate Weight Solution

Follow me on Twitter. Dr Phil's Weight Loss Book: The Ultimate Weight Solution. This is the book that I'm currently reading. While I haven't lost any weight yet (I'm only on page 73), what I do appreciate about this book is that he examines the psychological and behavioural mechanisms behind weight before. He starts in on the diet advice. It's like he's prepping you mentally first, which I believe in: I think all that we are and do begins with how we think. Return to Fine Grind. Posted by Jeanne Elle.
