Wednesday, March 14, 2012. A tearful farewell- Ian leaves on his Mission. It has been almost 4 years since Florence and I went through the emmotions of sending one of our boys on a mission. We went into this with a perfect knowledge of what our emmotions were going to go through rather than the surprise of dropping Jordan off. Heading to baggage check-in. Doesnt he look like a missionary. He flies directly to the Buenos Aires Missionary Training Center rather than Provo, UT. Ian is still Ian!

Tuesday, September 10, 2013. Hiking the Grand Canyon. We had a free Saturday so we decided to flynupmto the grand canyon for a quick hike. We hiked down the bright angel trail to Phantom Ranch. Sunday, August 28, 2011. The future Dr. Jordan G. Hatch DDS White Coat Ceremony. Jordan started dental school at the USC School of Dentistry on Monday August 22nd. The first week was CPR certification, equipment issued, lockers assigned, work stations organized, etc. etc. On Friday they had the "White Coat Ceremony" which kicks off his official dental education. Monday, August 24, 2015. Day 5 Cabane Prafleuri to Cabane Dix. Today was scheduled as a light day. Only 7.5 miles of hiking with 2,500 vertical feet to ascend. It was a pretty day with over an hour spent next to Lake des Dix. If you look closely over Alyssa's pack you can see Cabane Dix. Hiking along this lake. Lots and lots of mountains. Friday, October 14, 2011. Time to fly home. I am producing this entry of my blog flying level at 28,000 ft doing just under 300 knots true air speed. With a 20 knot headwind we are still doing over 270 knots over the ground. Oh the marvels of technology. Here is a map shot of our first leg home.
