Human-Computer Interaction @ IU. Concept Map for iPhone. December 13, 2008 — Brandon. I chose to do complete my concept map on the iPhone more specifically on the Photo application. Gesturing forward with your finger progresses to the next picture while gesturing backward returns to the previous picture. Pinching in or out will zoom in or out of the photo, respectively. Using the accelerometer to change pictures. The simply gestures within the iPhone are designed to allow users to intuitively change.

Since it is rarely used it should not take up important space and a lot of websites put their contact information in a footer on the bottom so users may think to look down there. Great idea! I also like the way that grades/resources/chat etc are offered on the left. November 10, 2008 at 9:34 pm. This idea seem...

Human-Computer Interaction @ IU. December 1, 2008 — ajmoiri300. Not everybody is going to agree that any particular design is the best, and that’s okay as long as it meets the goals of the user. For Oncourse, the user wants to find information quickly and easily. Nobody is going to. To use Oncourse, but if our design can get a user to find the information without having a sense of accomplishment while doing it then we know it’s good. This system should be like “Yeah, so what? Human-Computer Interaction @ IU. Question about the Proto Type. December 3, 2008 — volsinfo. One of the questions I had about the proto type and the process, was how a user without a Youtube account would be handled, since a majority of our new feature relies on logging in. From our interviews we can see that there are alot of people who just use the search bar and ignores the front page completely. My question is that would people even bother to use the customization feature when they know its there. What is a good incentive for people to start customizing there own page? Ok, what was listed as research , in your group project blog, was saying what you did and your data but not what you found. Like research could be either a percentage “75% of users preferred the updates” or a statement like “A majority of users were unable to perform task A”. Research is your research findings, not how you did your research.

Human-Computer Interaction @ IU. Emotional response to the 360 dashboard. December 12, 2008 — ajmoiri300. Overall, I would say this little obseration was a success. A completely brand-new user was introduced to the interface and “liked it.” Although he had difficulty navigating, it was more so because of the inexperience of the navigation tool–a controller in his hands. Little emotion was shown, but there was enough to significantly support the argument. December 6, 2008 — phossein. Tags: Add new tag.
