Friday, June 15, 2007. Our 2007 Israel Adventure finally arrived in Tel Aviv, Israel on June 15th. We had such a busy day! After arriving we headed south of Tel Aviv to the city of Rehovot to meet up with a good friend of ours. We had some time to kill so some of the group played a pick up game of softball with the local Israelis. It's not that often American baseball is played in Israel. Sunday, June 17, 2007. Let the Work Begin. Today both groups started working, one at the kibbutz and the other at the hospital. The work on the kibbutz involved pruning the apple trees and working in the kitchen. Work starts early around 7:30 AM and ends about 1:00 PM or 2:00 PM, it all depends on the heat, and let me tell you it is hot! As for the hospital workers, we spent the day filling out paperwork in Hebrew (that was fun) in order to volunteer at the hospital. Shalom (Phil 3.9). We sure look forwa...

Tuesday, June 26, 2007. Back in Business. I think? Beseder, ("ok" in hebrew) were back in business I think? I found a local McDonalds with free internet access next to our apartment where we are staying in Rehovot. Thank goodness for American businesses in foreign lands, "I'm Lovin It". 2 Swimming in the Mediterranean (the beach at Ashdod where the Philistines took the Ark of the Covenant). 3 Gone to Shabbat (Service) and participated with testimonies, singing, and preaching. 4 Played a lot of games.

Today the second half of our trip began: we left Rehovot and the work volunteering and headed up the Mediterranean coast toward Haifa, Israel.
