How you can help. The Isaiah Trust was begun in 2001, when the two founders, Tim Broughton and Nicky Etherington visited Kisumu at the invitation of a Kenyan Minister, who was in the UK to raise awareness of the problems with street children in his home town. Kisumu is Kenya's third largest city and is home to over 1000 children who live and sleep on its dusty and dangerous streets, as well as to many more who beg for food during the day, only to return to slums and poverty at night. Hope in the Streets.

How you can help. Welcome to Isaiah Trust. We are a Christian charity, working to help some of Kenya’s most desperate children find a new beginning. We work on the streets of the 3rd largest city, Kisumu, with children who have no where else to live, children who find their food on rubbish dumps and whose comfort is a glue bottle. Into this world, the Isaiah Trust is working to bring hope, education, training and a new future. Share your food with the hungry, provide the poor wanderer with shelter,.

Tracking my fund raising and training ups and downs for this years Great Runs! Sunday, 4 October 2009. The problem with my right knee turned out to be a pulled hamstring so I've had a couple of weeks off the running to get some physio and allow it to repair properly. It's well on the mend now and I'm hoping to resume running next week. It's this coming Friday and I'm wondering what I've let myself in for! Sunday, October 04, 2009. Went for a figure of eight run around Sandbach tonight thinking I'd planned my route along street lit roads but then finding myself stumbling half a mile on a grass verge alongside the national speed limit stretch of road out to the motorway in the dark! Tracking my fund raising and training ups and downs for this years Great Runs! Wednesday, 9 September 2009. Well I've had two sessions at the Physio since my last posting for an inflamation to the underside of my right knee cap and it does seem a whole lot better! I've been trying to keep my fitness up by swimming and cycling on an exercise bike at the gym but haven't been running for nearly two weeks :-(. So if you were delaying sponsoring me, no need!
