My main hobby is photography, but looking at the history of places I photograph I have picked up some myths and Stories along the way. Some of the people that visit my other site liked the stories as much as the pictures, so I decided to start this. Irish mythological history and stories is unusual as it remains largely unchanged due to its strong oral tradition, it was not corrupted by other languages like latin as we remained free from Roman invasions and we had cultivated the art of writing.

It is bad luck to ask a man on his way to a fishing trip where he is going, in some areas the man would turn around and go home in case an evil spell was put on him. When I first heard this I wondered how many housewives fed up of their husbands going fishing would ask their husband where he was off too.
