Having been to a family reunion last weekend and being surrounded by family known and unknown I have decided that the theme for this week will be …. wait for it…. family! This time of year also makes one think about spending more time with one’s family – so it seems a fitting theme. Ome things I didn’t photograph but which I found myself sighing at. Ome of the things I did photograph which do make me sigh:. Caleb smiling and laughing . The fact that Caleb has grown almost 5 cm in a little over 2 months! He is growing up way too fast for my liking…. Those eyes……. It was an amazing and humbling experience. I love this crazy guy too!

Tuesday, June 25, 2013. Mel arrived safely last Friday night after a long flight via LA. We let her have a sleep at a hotel near the Vancouver International Airport before nabbing her and dragging her along on one of our (becoming) famous mini roadtrips. Thankfully we negotiated it safely, stopping off at a few landmarks along the way. Shannon Falls was one of the highlights. The falls are nestled only a 5 minute walk from the freeway but are superb and definately worth a look. Eventually we made our way...

Saturday, July 27, 2013. The Calgary Stampede is unlike any other event I've ever been to. Its a combination of rodeo (with the top ten cowboy and cowgirls competing for big $'s), agricultural exhibition, superstar country music performances, gigantic midway and variety musical/acrobatic/gymnastic show (think Australia's Got Talent where everyone is uber talented). Check the Calgary Stampede. The boys were entranced from start to finish (3 hours! The following day was rodeo day - in the wet. Yahoo! Boots...

Monday, December 31, 2012. I need more time. My big boy is already doing jumps on his snowboard. And not just jumps off a small snow mound but jumps OVER people. I need time to not only process this information but time to recognise that my boy is already doing crazy stunts on a piece of apparatus that he has only just been introduced to. Saturday, December 29, 2012. Take a group of die hard rugby fans, a field of deep, powdery snow and a regulation football and you can put together a game of snow rugby.
