Welcome to life with my baby girl. I have to brag and also thank a wonderful, intelligent online group of moms I adore. They recommended this video for Sweetness to learn her letters and sounds. She had zero interest in television prior to this video but after a couple of times having it on in the background she begged for it. A few weeks later, (maybe two? 18 month well visit. Feb 16, 2011. Welcome to life with my baby girl. Her nickname is Ally and one day we asked her to say “Ally” and she immediately responded with a cheerful “La-La! 8221; It was adorable. She is really starting to learn about what belongs to Mommy, Daddy and now La-La. She’ll point to my hair dryer and say Mama, point to Daddy’s razor and say Dada,etc. Today though we went for a walk and I told her she needed to hold Mommy’s hand and she shook her head and said “La-La! I'm hoping this does the trick. she seems to be a bit better already. sleeping quietly and breathing easier (she was sleeping very fitfully before and holding her breath, crying out, etc.) so that's good. She's also continuing to gain weight throughout this, so that's awesome! Little monkey is up to 9lbs 10oz!
