Furnished with a vintage French Gothic bed, an English writing table and original art, this room is bathed in light from three large windows. The television is hidden in an English leather covered cabinet. This room adjoins our twin room.

Coffee and tea, along with baked goods warm from the oven, are available first thing in the morning. Typical breakfast menus include. Fresh fruit starter course. Nid d'Oeuf (Eggs in a nest, French style). French toast towers infused with berries. Dutch Baby Pancakes topped with lemon, powdered sugar and berries. Steel-cut oats simmered overnight.

Plush padded headboards, a mini library all its' own, and period English furniture will make you want to sleep late,. The beds convert to a King if desired. This room connects to our Gothic room. Making it a perfect suite.

Settled by New England whalers and merchants hailing primarily from Nantucket, Martha's Vineyard, and Providence, Hudson was chartered as a city in 1785. The self-described "Proprietors" laid out a city grid, and Hudson grew rapidly as an active port, coming within one vote of being named the capital of New York state. Authors Note: Picture postcards, like those on this page were mailed in 1905-1907. They depict Hudson scenes 230 years after it was founded. The riverfront early in the 20th Century.
