Monday, January 9, 2012. Happy New Year Internets! Was thinking I should post some artwork, but don't really have anything I feel like showing, or am allowed to show, or have access to at the moment, so here is a drawing I did when maybe I was, oh, four? That's the last time I had long blond hair, so thinking then. Though one doesn't write with cursive at four and I don't remember being a genius so. hmmm. Mystery. It's been a week and a half, and it's fantastic! Here's to a busy year!

Wednesday, February 29, 2012. Wax Show this weekend! A few weeks ago I submitted two encaustic paintings to this juried show (see postcard above), and both were accepted! The opening reception is this weekend, so if you are in the Santa Cruz, CA area, you should drop by. I'll be going on a whirlwind California trip so I can be there. I'm quite looking forward to it! Pick from two of the Imagine Learning characters, then click to change their costume and background. Then send it to a friend! Or lots of friends! The rest of the Marketing team did a great job with the opening sequence, the site design, music, programming, writing, they are a great bunch to work with. Thanks guys! Tuesday, October 11, 2011. Tuesday, July 31, 2012. Just started his Kickstarter project and it has already been funded in an hour! That should tell you that it's pretty awesome. Jed has turned classic video game characters into traditional Ukiyo-e style prints. He has also joined up with printmaker Dave Bull to print some as traditional woodblock prints. So far they have Mario cart ready to buy. The more orders, the more woodblock prints they can do. Jed has done an amazing job. Go get yourself a print, I got mine! 4 Keeping a log...

Wednesday, August 15, 2012. The M in my Living Room. Las Vegas is about a five and a half hour drive south from Orem. I usually head down a couple times a year to visit an ol' pal of mine (we've been friends since we were 5! And the Neon Sign Boneyard. Eta, here's their website: neonmuseum.org. Tuesday, August 7, 2012. Sometimes at work I get to do really big projects like animate a song. Or a cool online game. Or illustrate books I wrote. Sometimes there's a lot of busy-work. It's all go...

Sunday, January 6, 2013. River trail by my office. I signed up for Instagram. A few months ago, mostly so I could see the photos my nieces were posting. I had it set to private, thinking it would just be family-related stuff, but as I've been using it more it has evolved into a fun ongoing project. I've decided to make it public and link it up to the blog. There was so much glare on my phone, I just aimed and hoped for the best. This walk prompted me to get some decent boots. Lunch walk by the office.

Friday, March 9, 2012. Imagine Learning Pic Spam. It's a Friday afternoon and I just finished a big project, so how about an Imagine Learning Pic Spam (tm)? I haven't posted any IL stuff for awhile, so this should be swell. A couple months ago we did a whole pile of illustrations for some little books. These were all about how to do them as fast as possible, so lots of shortcut experiments were done. Below are some of the less horrible results. At my desk at Imagine Learning! Have a great weekend!

Wednesday, September 5, 2012. 30 Day challenge done. I've posted everywhere but here. Facebook. Durring the month of August I did a "design a figure a day" challenge for 30 days. The result was of course a lot of ideas, but mostly me drawing toys I'd want to not only create, but collect. As well as get some drawings of characters out there that I've been holding onto for almost 20 years! Hopefully sometime soon I'll be posting shots of clumps of clay that hopefully resembles something you see here!
