Way-gook-in' it up in Korea!: June 2009
http://bethanyinkorea.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Way-gook-in' it up in Korea! A foreign face in a foreign place. Monday, June 29, 2009. The beginning of the end. I will miss other things about Korea too - the culture, the food, the mountains (! Question. How can I possibly sum up my year here in Korea in a "short" answer? I don't even know what I truly think of my time here. Obviously there were many good experiences, and many difficult experiences. But overall, what do I think? Anyway, that is a bit of what I am trying to get a grip on these days.

Way-gook-in' it up in Korea!: November 2008
http://bethanyinkorea.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Way-gook-in' it up in Korea! A foreign face in a foreign place. Sunday, November 30, 2008. Friday morning I got up at 6am and called my grandparents' house - my dad's side of the family was all gathered there and were starting to enter the food coma from Thanksgiving dinner! I got to talk to everyone, and it made me really wish I could be there. But it was great to hear from everyone! I definitely was tearing up a bit. I was definitely getting into it and was really proud of them! I told him that in the ...

A 미국 (Mi-guk) Life: Stress and Relaxation
http://stephlinkorea.blogspot.com/2010/12/stress-and-relaxation.html
Friday, December 17, 2010. I didn't know I was so flexible! We were so relaxed after the massage that we laid there for who knows how long until Anna finally said, "Guys, I think we're done." Time went so fast and I was so content that I didn't want to get up! It was a wonderful evening! We decided that we should revisit during every grade posting time. :). I agree, it was pretty tasty! During the week we also took all the students to the theater to see Narnia: The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. Today, we w...

Way-gook-in' it up in Korea!: Goodbye Goodbye Goodbye!
http://bethanyinkorea.blogspot.com/2009/07/goodbye-goodbye-goodbye.html
Way-gook-in' it up in Korea! A foreign face in a foreign place. Thursday, July 16, 2009. I have said goodbye to all but 5 of my classes. It's interesting to see which students are sad that I am leaving, which are happy, and which just don't care! One first grade (sophomore) student was sooo sad as he was leaving and I didn't realize that he liked me so much! Poor thing. :-( I am writing my email address on the board, so I hope the students I was closer to will write me! But hopefully we will stay in touch.

Way-gook-in' it up in Korea! A foreign face in a foreign place. Friday, December 26, 2008. I'll be away for a couple weeks. I'm heading to Gwangju today for a Christmas party with a few other ETAs, then up to Seoul to meet Ike, and then we head to CHINA! I'll be back in contact on January 10th, so everyone stay safe and healthy please! But we all survived. :-) That evening I went to the movies with my host family "to celebrate Christmas". I get a kick out of the way they celebrate it! I also unfortunatel...

Saturday, November 5, 2011. The End of a Record-breaking Season. The mood of the title itself sums up how I'm feeling this week. Because the TCIS dragons boys volleyball team came from being down 2 sets to defeat the YISS Guardians (who we really. Even though we didn't get to watch their game, we did get to eat American food so it was a great end to a great day. Hopefully the momentum carries into basketball season. As our AD keeps saying, "It's the YEAR OF THE DRAGON! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
