So as the last 2-3 weeks are passing I was doing some final touches to the model and the diorama. I did a particle system, following a tutorial found on the internet. It was a lot of tweeking, but in the end the result was all right. Finally found how to make screenshots in UDK, but it’s a lot of effort, so I only have a few. Next post →. Monthly Archives: February 2013. Our task for this term was to build a tank. The thing was, we were not allowed to use any internet photos, so we had to take some of our own. We went to a place, were they had some old tanks and other military vehicles. That’s some of the photos I did. There’re much more, but I wont upload all of them. Texturing and moving to UDK. I still need to do some work for the low poly, but the rough block-out is long done, so I thought I could start doing a bit of high poly. Personally I find it much more exciting, but I haven’t done much of it. This is how my tyres look. It’s really high poly, but as long as I bake it down it’s no problem. This is a trick someone showed me. It is much easier to place half spheres in front the places you want to look as if have holes and there you go. It only works for baking, though. Next post →.

Diorama and AO Bake. I’ve started the diorama some time ago, but I’m finally happy enough with it to show it on the internet. From the start I was thinking for a diorama of a deserty place, and I’m happy with the result I have. It may have been just a bit smaller that that, but even like that is pretty nice (in my opinion). Some minor mistakes, obviously since I have overlapping UVs, but this is all really easily fixed in Photoshop (as with the normals). Next post →. Leave a Reply Cancel reply.

Texturing and moving to UDK. Now that I have the AO (the perfect start) I can actually start texturing it. I’m a bit behind and should have started that maybe a week ago, but it is the easier part for me so I should be able to catch up. I did a rough blockout of the colours and I’m quite happy with it. It will need much more work, but it’s a good start. PS: I had some problem with UDK and it didn’t allow me to do screenshots… No screens of the process, sorry. Next post →. На днях состоялась небольшая фотовылазка в Подмосковье, с целью познакомиться с замечательными ребятами, и устроить небольшую фотосъемку на лошади для двух моделей. Небывальщина какая-то, у мамы не может быть возраста, а тут вдруг юбилей! Мама невероятно сильная духом, волей к жизни. Еще неделю назад я не была уверена что она сможет дожить до даты, и вот наступил день! Сегодня ее выпишут из больницы, после переливаний крови ей много лучше, сегодня приедем ее поздравить, а в выходные, когда и папа из больницы (! Надо записывать...
