This first (and so far still only) Hunsrik. Online dictionary is the work of a Swiss language enthusiast. You can find out more about me on my Dreamshare. I first learned about Hunsrik about 2 years ago while building my etymology. Website and was very surprised: A kind of German in Brazil? Who would have thought! I found that rather fascinating.

The following explains the terms and abbreviations used for this dictionary regarding languages and orthographies, especially the meaning of the (SGO). As of now, there is no generally accepted and official orthography for Hunsrik. However, there seem to exist two main proposals for such an orthography that are in wider use and have gained significant acceptance. This dictionary website uses (SGO). To denote Hunsrik words written in what could be called "Standard German based orthography", and (PO).

Nothing here, or at least not yet. I just reserved the domain for future use in connection with anything Hunsrik. Os verbos em hunsriqueano riograndense possuem uma conjugação muito mais simplificada do que a encontrada no alemão padrão. Salvo verbos auxiliares e alguns poucos verbos de uso frequente, o presente do indicativo é o único tempo que possui uma conjugação simples, sendo todas as restantes formadas a partir de verbos auxiliares junto ao infinitivo ou ao particípio.
