gone fishing

Tuesday, January 12, 2010. We all just can't bear the wait till Chinese New Year for our first trip to one of the kelongs near Sibu Island. So last Sunday we all had the first taste of kelong fishing at Sibu except for Mr.Jay who knew the kelongs at the back of his hands. So off we went to fetch Mr.Dem and straight to Changi Village to get some live prawns but were sold out. Settled for an early breakfast before fetching Mr.Jay at Hougang. We crossed the causeway at about 5.45 am with...Reached Tanjung L...

gone fishing: February 2009

http://hook-a-fish.blogspot.com/2009_02_01_archive.html

Thursday, February 5, 2009. I was invited to try at this new and secret spot by another friend of mine. Supposed to be infested with huge tomans. Parked my bike at his block, waited around few minutes for another friend to fetch us to Yishun for live baby catfish for bait. Actually it was the first day of the Chinese New Year, surprisingly the tackle shop open for business on the first day. Have a quick breakfast before proceeding to the spot. The trip only produced a twelve inch toman.

gone fishing: Still ZERO!

http://hook-a-fish.blogspot.com/2009/12/still-zero.html

Monday, December 14, 2009. It seems that my fishing outing in the ending days of 2009 did not produce good results. And again my weekend outing produced another ZERO catch. After deciding Pasir Ris Camp as our spot for the day, I met Mr.Dem at junction towards Pasir Ris Camp while Mr.Sam will join us shortly. The path along the camp's fence look neater. Bushes were cleared up to the small stream making it less spooky when passing along the path. MrDem with the new art of fishing. Posted by what a fish!

gone fishing: March 2009

http://hook-a-fish.blogspot.com/2009_03_01_archive.html

Sunday, March 22, 2009. Met Mr. Din at junction to Labrador Park at 7.30 am after stopping by at KTM to buy drinks and breakfast. Got to know that Mr. Dem will join us shortly. Mr Din yelled at me that my shortest rod got a strike. When reeling in my sinker got stuck under the rocks. Force it out and managed to get it back losing the fish. That was the first and the last strike for the whole outing. The rest was snag after snag. Went down to the waterbreaker area, but still there's no bite at all. After ...

gone fishing: November 2009

http://hook-a-fish.blogspot.com/2009_11_01_archive.html

Sunday, November 29, 2009. These are the few pictures when me and the gang tried the spot for the second time. Sorry for the late post. Posted by what a fish! Woke at 8 and was contemplating whether wanna go fishing or not. Smsed Mr.Dem is he ready or not. By getting a fast reply, can tell that he is really eager to wet his lines. Replied his sms and will meet him at Changi Village around 10. Area designated for swimmers and sailing activities. Reached at the spot with food and drinks and noticed the pla...

Longkang 6: January 2008

http://hook-a-fish-spot2.blogspot.com/2008_01_01_archive.html

Monday, January 21, 2008. Why do the call this place "Six" Pipes? Look at the top pix, notice that they are six drainage pipes. Easy parking for cars and bikes. Good catfish bite rates when water is murky and upcoming tide. . Too many stripe eel tail catfish. They wack everything. Got to hide under the trees if it rains or it's scorching hot. Quite a distance to the toilet. Normally I pee beside the bridge. Eel tail (both strip) catfish, snapper. Posted by what a fish! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

LORONG HALUS: Lorong Halus

http://hook-a-fish-spot4.blogspot.com/2009/03/lorong-halus.html

Wednesday, March 4, 2009. Good spot for both tides. High tide can target for scaled fish and rays. Once low tide, watch out for the eel-tail catfish. There's enough light from the fences if night fishing. Good place to hunt for worm baits during low tide. Quite a distance to walk in if you drive. Worst if you take public transport except cab. Quite eerie at night. Don't fish alone at night. Sicklefish, Eel tail catfish, stingrays, snappers. Not at the moment. Posted by what a fish! Back to main page.

Wednesday, March 4, 2009. Actually I only tried this place once and it's only for a couple of hours. Easy parking. There's floodlight after 9pm till morning. This is for the Police to monitor any suspicious person entering or leaving the island. Burning hot in the day, coz there's no shelter. Not at the moment. Posted by what a fish! Hook A Rug

May 21st, 2007 09:32 pm. I am an angel. I was wondering if anyone knew where I could buy craft supplies in bulk? I'm working on a project for when I walk in the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life. Help with rug backing. Dec 16th, 2006 09:22 am. Can anyone tell me what kind of place I can bring a rug to in order to get it backed. Will a knitting store do it? Also, if it's a 20x30 rug, about how much do you think it will cost? Dec 3rd, 2006 02:31 pm. Mar 19th, 2006 10:01 pm. Any suggestions or advice?
