A Mummy in a Strange Land. Sunday, April 21, 2013. We decided to start our mini break close to home yesterday with a trip to Tai O. It's a small fishing village on the western tip of Lantau island and it's renowned for its stilt houses, streets lined with dried fish and sea creatures, and the elusive dolphins. That precariously inhabit the local waters. Tai O is about 45 minutes by bus from Mui Wo and Tung Chung. There are a number of fantastic hikes. Save The Pink Dolphin! Hi, My name is Laura, and I love dolphins, especially the Pink Dolphins found in Hong Kong. Did you know the Pink Dolphin is also the Indo-Pacific Humpback Dolphin. I learned that in school. They are actually born grey, and don't turn pink until after they have grown-up some. Did I mention that I love the Pink Dolphins! The Pink Dolphins home is threatened by humans, and I just want everybody to know we need to do our best to make sure they always have a clean and safe home.
