Collin and I walked to his university (not his, Tallinn’s) where he studied Estonian last summer. We bumped into his teacher in the cafe and she promptly invited us to attend class the next day! Wayfaring across the Pond. Musings of a new journey. When I actually do have boots made for walking…. December 26, 2010. They hurt my feet too. Here’s the deal. Amsterdam, like NYC, is a city that requires you to walk everywhere. That’s fine. Except I live in Kansas where you drive everywhere. Hence, a dilemma. And my feet hurt. But that will pass. Also! Wayfaring across the Pond. Musings of a new journey. So it’s Good-Bye for now. July 26, 2010. My last day here has been full of beauty. We had beautiful weather, a visit to the Van Gogh museum that is full of his and other’s beautiful art and on the way home I saw a man riding a bicycle home in a suit with a large bunch of red roses. Wayfaring across the Pond. Musings of a new journey. I created this blog in anticipation of a 20 day trip to Europe including Amsterdam, Paris, Normandy, Montpelier and Estonia. Perhaps it will branch out after that and perhaps it will just remain dormant until another trip arrives. Wayfaring across the Pond. Musings of a new journey. December 30, 2010. The last day. It was colder today. And of course, there was lots of walking. Because that’s what you do here! We started off our day walking to the Nine Streets which are full of neat but expensive shops. I wasn’t willing to drop that much money on a coat! There was an electronic diagram of how the city has grown since 1250. There has definitely been plenty of time for that! Well, not quite soon, but soon enough. 🙂 Goodbye all!
