Huntley was the country home of Thomson Francis Mason, a grandson of George Mason. It is now a property of the Fairfax County Park Authority and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. We’re very excited that the restoration of Huntley has been completed. It was a long time coming, but it was worth the wait. For more photos of the restoration process.

On November 16, 2012, Friends of Historic Huntley Huntley received an Elly Doyle Park Service award from the Fairfax County Parks Authority for all of its work in support of Huntley and the restoration. Members of the board and other volunteers attended the ceremony to accept this honor, and a good time was had by all. THOMSON F. MASON. Thomson was born in 1785 at Gunston Hall and grew up on his father's estate, nearby Hollin Hall. His parents were Sarah McCarty Chichester and General Thomson Mason (1759-1820), an officer of the militia in the American Revolution. General Mason held many state and local offices and was active in organizing banks and transportation companies. Clapham Price of Loudoun County in 1817, and they had eight children.
