We re making lots of progress with the members and gaining thier confidence. The switch of having Sisters instead of Elders has been a little difficult for them but I think it s healthy. Monday, August 30, 2010. Summer's Over.or. TWITCH. Summer is officially over, although the weather doesn't understand that. I always feel bad for the Elementary kid having to go outside to play for recess. Fortunately the climbing toys are shaded, but it's still hot. Friday, January 29, 2010. LAVA MONSTER.or.why I love kids! I have the funnest and funniest kids EVER . Last night the girls were playing 'lava monster' and made trails all through the house of safe islands to effectively avoid the carpet-living lava monster while they played 'escaping from the lava monster' with a Mom and Dad rescuing their babies from a fiery death. I LOVED to watch this because 'lava monster' was one of my ALL TIME FAVORITE games when I was a kid. The four silliest girls in the world.

Thursday, March 18, 2010. Knotty Beach Bums.or.EEEaarRRtthHqqquuAAAAAAkkkKEE! VACATION, GLORIOUS VACATION! On the drive over we stopped in Quartzsite at a shop called GemWorld. NEVER go into that store with a credit card. Amelia modeling some of the rows and rows of spectacular jewelry. First day.THE BEACH! Miya's got a thing for smelly stuff. Wednesday, December 16, 2009. Ella's First Orchestra Concert.or.I LOVE the new teacher's short concert! Ok, the new Elementary Orchestra teacher has changed the concerts from a 2 hour ordeal to less than an hour! It was just grand! The band, choir and orchestra all performed, but it was in nice, organized chunks instead of spread around the evening, so we just showed up when our kid was involved and left when she wasn't. You can barely see her in this picture, she's on the left. On the upside, it's a pretty good shot of the counters I tiled a few months ago. We made these adorable flip flops for the party.
