The goings on in my little pottery shed in Shropshire. Follow me as develop my pottery business. So here we are finally after a long day on Thursday, teaching, driving and then setting up at the show! We meet this lovely lady, Ping was the winner of Master Chef last year and used our bowls in her demonstrations which was great. Her food smelled great and she brought some bowls for her home too. And we got told today that we won this! The prize is a free stand at the next show, that's a great prize. Poppe...

The goings on in my little pottery shed in Shropshire. Follow me as develop my pottery business. It's been crazy busy here recently and about to get worse! The Frost Fair is this weekend and Jommy's Farm the following, I've done my first course at Brompton Cookery School and supplied our first load of stock to Ludlow Food Centre. Along side all of that has been a few other fairs, new deliveries to Delicate in town and the internet orders have steadily picked up. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

The goings on in my little pottery shed in Shropshire. Follow me as develop my pottery business. If you've been following me recently either on here on on Facebook you'll know that we have been caring for a Little Owl that our dog Betty picked up as a chick in the fields. 'Bill' could only have been hours old, unable to stand and with his eyes closed. And here's a photo of him with his eyes closed, who knew owls had fluffy eyelids? So first order is in from The National Trust! A few new products are deve...

The goings on in my little pottery shed in Shropshire. Follow me as develop my pottery business. What a fab show, we had a fantastic time and got some orders from this couple too, recognise him? Tom Kerridge and his wife Beth are absolutely lovely people and have orders in for their new restaurant opening in Marlowe in October. We're getting a tour of The Hand of Flowers when we visit in a month or so, it's his pub which holds Two Michelin stars! This is inside the shed where all the magic happens and it...

The goings on in my little pottery shed in Shropshire. Follow me as develop my pottery business. After months of playing myself with photography we finally got the professionals on board. These are some of the first images by Sandrine, look at her work at www.sandrinephotography.com. And also her blog littleberriesandco.com. Jon's had an operation on his wrist but all's well. He'll be working hard once it's better to get his pizza oven finished ready for Sandrine's arrival. The comments we received from ...

The goings on in my little pottery shed in Shropshire. Follow me as develop my pottery business. The pizza oven base isn't in either of these photo's but just to show the finished ruined cottage, folly, grotto, whatever people want to call it. It now has a sunk with running water and electricity supply too, I'm guessing we'll be using this a lot over summer so long as it's warm enough. Here's two of our friends testing it out with a cuppa! The goings on in my little pottery shed in Shropshire. Follow me as develop my pottery business. I spent the morning working out in Jon's folly, he built this to have the feel of a ruined cottage, the fire place works! The floor needs finishing. And here is an olive tree all the way from Portugal, olive boards coming soon. So we finally made it to Chester and set up camp on the racecourse, what a fab site! Till a massive down pour on Sunday afternoon. That will happen after a day of sorting and resting h...

The goings on in my little pottery shed in Shropshire. Follow me as develop my pottery business. More photo's here from the lovely Sandrine, I'm loving these, they give a real feel of how it is round here most of the time although it's rare I ever decorate a table quite so well! I've slowly started adding some of them to the website and have settled to the fact that the website is always going to need work, as the work is always developing. This week I've hard a few hours to play with my jugs! This morni...

The goings on in my little pottery shed in Shropshire. Follow me as develop my pottery business. As always, I've been busy! The pottery world is going good and I'm working on a big order for a hotel I can't wait to visit. The change in the season has really increased the amount of work I'm getting through as I'm using the warmer weather to dry off pots, throwing in the morning and turning in the afternoon. If I'm lucky glazing in the evening. My allotment, just starting to get going! And finally, tomorro...

The goings on in my little pottery shed in Shropshire. Follow me as develop my pottery business. We've had a busy few days but it's all been good. We left for The Hand of Flowers straight after work on Thursday evening, this was our room. We meet Tom and had a quick chat before going in for dinner which was amazing and we got birthday messages on our puds! After dinner we got to see the kitchen and meet this guy Nick who is the head chef and talked bowls and boards with him, nice guy. Off for a lie down!
