Harmony Valley Farm

Tuesday, March 20, 2018. Happy First Day of Spring! Can you believe it? We made it through another winter and the promises of new growth, green vegetables, warmth and the adventures of another CSA season are in our near future. Yesterday Richard found the first spring flowers of the season. We have some pretty little Snow Drops poking through on our hillside. They are the earliest flowers to bloom each year, which means the daffodils, crocuses and tulips will follow very soon. I love growing things!

Thursday, July 30, 2015. August is upon us and that means it’s that time of year already-eggplant season! When it comes to cooking eggplant, there is no shortage of ways to enjoy it! Sweet and Sour Eggplant Salad. 8220;Eggplant takes on a soft, almost melting, texture when cooked slowly in a pan. Though I usually don’t peel eggplant, I do here just to emphasize that silky quality. Spoon this piquant salad onto crackers or bread, and serve it with good cheese and a bowl of olives.”. 189; to 1 tsp salt.

Blogs You May Enjoy. May 12, 2015, In Clean Eating. This recipe is a solution to a problem. And that problem is parsnips. I am determined to use these darn “white carrots” every week we get them. They have been replaced by these surprisingly tasty cookies. I got this recipe from a mama in our playgroup. She brought over some Carrot Cake Cookies. 1 hr 30 min.
