Wednesday, May 20, 2009. An introduction: internet speak as an english dialect. That being said, one topic that I've been having a hard time finding any resources on in the great depths of the interweb is that of Internet speak as an English dialect. (I've found plenty of links discussing various dialects of. Internet speak, however. That is always a fun topic.) For a short while I bounced back and forth in my head whether it would be classified as a dialect, or more specifically as a sociolect.
