The guys and gals there are first class, a great bunch of people, all volunteers who help everyone, regardless of disability, have a go on the water. I am completely hooked! Competing as age groupers, plus the Spanish crowds shouting bravo in my first International and only fourth triathlon! That silver medal though as it was a tough course in 43 degree heat. It's just a shame that there are no other Tri. I had time to watch the elite men running through the historic streets of Pontevedra. Then cheekily asked Alistair for a piccy.

Getting up at 5am to drive hundreds of miles for four hours to swim 2.4 miles in Coniston Water must be some people's idea of madness, but I had a great day! I've never swum so far in the pool or open water, so it was a real taste of what an Ironman distance swim would be like. I attended my second Swim Smooth clinic yesterday, at Corby International Pool, to brush up on my Freestyle stroke technique and see the innovative new Huub suit which will be released next month. I'm really pleased with the work TFN have done on my bike; it switched gears beautifully, I didn't get any shoulder pain and my helmet and tri suit were comfy. Gestartet wurde diese in Pinggau und verlief über die Panoramastraßen von Friedberg, Dechantskirchen, Schlag bei Thalberg, Burgfeld, St.Lorenzen, Bruck und Mönichwald. Ziel war das Wetterkoglerhaus am Hochwechsel auf 1743m Seehöhe. Einen großen Dank an die Sponsoren für die Sachspenden und an alle Teilnehmer!
