Friday, December 13, 2013. My blog is neglected. Better than neglecting my children though, right? In case you haven't heard, we made a decision! I haven't done that in 10 years, seriously. The other thing that I'm looking forward to is Ben having holidays again! Only in academia do you get 2 weeks off for Christmas. Sure, he will be studying, but I'm still excited. Sunday, August 21, 2011. We are here in SLC, only 1/2 mile from temple square. We can even see Angel Moroni's little nose from our back door. Being walking distance to just about everything is GREAT! I have officially ended my first year of didactic craziness, and after a week off to move (and relax) I have already completed my first week of my clinical year. I am starting in my surgery rotation and I have already learned so much and the surgeon I follow is great at teaching me. My mom was such a trooper!

Tuesday, January 6, 2009. Here he is in his wonderful open-backed "nightgown.". Waiting for the doctor to come, showing me his "pulse" band-aid. The doctor is here. And here's what it looks like all cleaned up. But not stitched (small warning to queasy stomachs). And now with 5 staples holding it together. He looks like a much more injured boy with this contraption on his head than he actually is- especially with his fake sick face. Ta-Dah- and hour and a half later, start to finish, ready to go home.
