failing; the prince and the carpenter; risk | Growing Free
https://greengolightly.wordpress.com/2012/08/29/failing
Failing; the prince and the carpenter; risk. August 29, 2012. June 3, 2015. My Western culture doesn’t offer me much in the way of humility. We’re more about Yes! Bad things happen, you can fail by not playing at all and we are all guaranteed just one certainty in life. With only that, the end of life, awaiting us, what do we truly have to lose? Life hangs by such a precarious thread no matter what we do. Get used to it: you will fail. But isn’t that a rather wonderful thing? August 29, 2012 at 7:21 am.
You will never be good enough | Growing Free
https://greengolightly.wordpress.com/2015/06/19/you-will-never-be-good-enough
You will never be good enough. June 19, 2015. June 19, 2015. Two years ago I wrote this post. Today I read over these words:. When you fail you join the human race. Pride gets knocked out of you and you sit winded on the ground. Then you look around and see sitting with you is everyone you’ve ever known, and those you haven’t…. If we look into those spots flayed raw by fear, we find a tenderness that can be used to encounter all those around us…. Does failure soften your heart? June 19, 2015 at 11:49 pm.
Johannesburg: an unschooled exploration | Growing Free
https://greengolightly.wordpress.com/2015/07/20/johannesburg-an-unschooled-exploration
Johannesburg: an unschooled exploration. July 20, 2015. July 20, 2015. Yesterday we returned to our farm of dappled cows, tree skeletons and silent mountains. With soft light and earthy scents, it welcomed us back from a ten-day stay in Johannesburg. In the city of smog and gold, the hub of business and art and politics, we caught up with family, tossing balls and blowing bubbles in a backyard in Kensington. We explored the bird gardens at Monte Casino. In Sandton while Emma made friends in the sandpit.

June 30, 2015. June 30, 2015. For three years this blog has been a testimony to my attempts to Go Lightly. Now my daughter has joined me on my journey, and her wholeness has shown me more than anything that my wish for her is to grow up wild and free. What have served as your own catalysts to become freedom-seekers? Wild and free children. Mariella: natural learning vs a system of control (free download until July 11th). First memories: in the rain. 4 thoughts on “ Growing Free. June 30, 2015 at 4:27 pm.

Worried Sick | DAD OF FRANKENSTEIN
https://dadoffrankenstein.wordpress.com/2015/05/23/worried-sick
I've created a monster. May 23, 2015. One of the hardest things I’ve had to do as a parent is watch my child fall ill. Frankie is now 5 months old, and a couple of weeks ago became sick for the first time. I reckon it might’ve happened after one of those playgroup sessions, where a bunch of babies get together and dribble all over each other, creating a biohazardous cocktail unseen anywhere outside of a chemical weapons facility. To be fair, Frankie did a better job of being sick than I do when struck do...

We went for a walk past the tree which took out our electricity a while ago, Bear was obviously very impressed. Evie had a friend visit for a few days and had so much fun playing with her. I finished knitting her scarf and she asked for photos in the garden, location her choice and her brother followed along.

So we homeschool, so now what? Friday, July 3, 2015. SoCatching up with the Kids - Part 2. We've had some lovely outings recently, we did a trip up into the midlands where we explored a treasure trove of a store before heading off to make some candles (very useful with our load shedding) and then having a lovely lunch. We did a couple trips down to the beach, the weather is just perfect this time of year. Dad made his famous thai green chicken curry for Sunday lunch. Taking a bunny for a walk. Growing Fr...

http://sohomeschooled.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
So we homeschool, so now what? Tuesday, November 18, 2014. So October came and went in a flash and I find myself nearing the end of November already. I've been taking snaps where I can but finding the time to sort them out and upload them has been in short supply. So here is some of what happened in October. And someone lost copious amounts of teeth. We had fun with some funny glasses. And lots of bed time stories and snuggles have been had. I revamped a cupboard for all my recipe books. Everyone had a h...

So we homeschool, so now what? Tuesday, September 30, 2014. Our toddler potty trained himself this last week and doesn't seem half as little any more, our beautiful girl seems to be all long legs and arms these days and our eldest has lost 4 top teeth in the last week or two and still has some other wiggly ones to go. Some times I just want to shout SLOW DOWN! Here we are trying out another gifted outfit and wearing our very first dress. Not all are looking quite as pretty yet though, meet Beauty :).

So we homeschool, so now what? Thursday, June 25, 2015. SoLove is in the Air! We attended a very special wedding in May and I have finally gotten round to uploading the photos I took over that period. Sadly my hands were pretty full with the children so I really only got a couple pics, which is a shame because it was an amazing wedding and the bridal couple were just radiant! They have a lifetime of special memories ahead of them, this is only just the beginning 3. Heading off to the wedding ceremony.
