Where nature and art meet! As Seen In…. I have decided to make some flowers out of gourds and this is the second rose I’ve made. It took 7 gourds of various sizes to fit one inside the other. The leaves are made of pieces cut from a larger gourd. 2 comments on “ Red Rose. November 26, 2013. November 26, 2013. Thank you Kimble for your comment. Where nature and art meet! As Seen In…. Another Flower and Vase. This is another flower and vase I made for my long-time friend Dokey Rowhani in California. The rose was made of five different gourds. The leaves are cutouts from the side of a larger gourd; they are dyed green and have simulated raindrops on them. The vase was made from a lump-in-the-neck gourd. The base is made of Macassar ebony from Southeast Asia. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. Enter your comment here. Address never made public).

Where nature and art meet! As Seen In…. Post-Halloween Pumpkins, 2013. I was too cheap to buy two pumpkins prior to Halloween, so I bought them the day after Halloween at less than half price. The one on the left is 24 inches tall and weighs a ton! I could barely move it. I attempted to do some carving that only Ray Villafane could do. Well, I failed to come close to his work, but I carved the best I could. 2 comments on “ Post-Halloween Pumpkins, 2013. November 4, 2013. November 4, 2013. Get every new p...
