A ship in port is safe, but that's not what ships are built for. - Grace Murray Hopper. Monday, June 15, 2009. Rain, Rain, Go Away! We have had rain for about 2 weeks straight! The weather predicted the weekend of sunshine with rain beginning again next Monday for the remainder of the week. I am trying to keep a positive attitute so I am listing my top 10 things I love about this unusual accumulation of rain. 1 No need to water the garden.it happens automatically every night. 2 The smell after it rains.

Lexi's Life: Perception
http://lexibeattie.blogspot.com/2010/03/perception.html
A ship in port is safe, but that's not what ships are built for. - Grace Murray Hopper. Monday, March 15, 2010. Lately, I’ve been thinking a lot about perception. (yes, for those of you who just sighed and said oh no, she is having one of those deep-thought days providing lots of thoughts but with no real answers, you will want to save yourself the frustration and just stop reading now…don’t worry, I won’t be offended…in fact, I will never know :). I love this quote by J.R.R. Tolkein:. You don’t un...

Wednesday, August 19, 2009. Random pictures of Evelynn our little cutie! This is just a random compilation of some pictures of Evelynn over the past month and a half. She's a lot cuter and more interesting than Matthew or I so our camera is full of pictures of her. Most of them are taken with my phone camera since that's usually what I have at hand to snap a photo of her with.Enjoy :-). Playing in her "Bouncy-Bouncy". Finger sandwiches are the best EVER! Her first 'ride' in her Boppy Chair. Out enjoying ...

The Blackburn Family: Our little girl is growing up!
http://mbblackburn.blogspot.com/2010/04/our-little-girl-is-growing-up.html
Monday, April 5, 2010. Our little girl is growing up! I KNOW.I KNOW! It's been forever since I updated the blog and I really will get back on line again and update everything. Evelynn has grown SO much. Evelynn is now walking like crazy! We're so excited at how fast she's growing and she loves her new found independence. A trip to the grocery store now takes three times as long but she loves tripping along beside me trying to grab absolutely everything off the shelves :-). April 18, 2010 at 6:25 PM.

Lexi's Life: Lesson Learned
http://lexibeattie.blogspot.com/2010/03/lesson-learned.html
A ship in port is safe, but that's not what ships are built for. - Grace Murray Hopper. Monday, March 29, 2010. Interesting experience this past week that related to my thoughts on perception. I was asked to conduct a tour to a group of young men (ages 12-17) from the Juvenile Correctional Center in St. Anthony. A leader pulled me aside at the end of the tour and said, "thank you. These boys will remember this day for as long as they live." I thought to myself."really, a simple tour of a univ...I went ba...

http://mbblackburn.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 6, 2009. Happy 4th of July! This is my handsome hubby and me in a week we'll have been married for a year and with all the fast and busy life we've had and the big changes we've experienced in just a year there are still those wonderfully quiet moments in between it all where I re-realize what a wonderful man I married and how much I love him. My heart is his forever! And we're ready to go! After dinner the kids played in the pool while the rest of us stayed inside chit-chatting. Hannah is e...
