http://ouiserb.blogspot.com/2014/07/the-love-of-god-revealed.html
Sunday, July 27, 2014. The Love of God Revealed. Jesus the Light of the World. William Holman Hunt, 1851. St Paul's Cathedral, London, England. Keble Chapel, Oxford, England. Today was another one of those Sundays when I was so moved by one of the readings that I was compelled to find a piece of artwork that might better illuminate my reaction to the words. Or should I say word? Sorry, a little biblical pun. Its ok to groan, it was bad. Today's reading reminded me that (insert a not so surprised face) th...

Le coeur de la vie: A Few Thoughts...
http://ouiserb.blogspot.com/2011/07/few-thoughts.html
Monday, July 18, 2011. During church this morning I was particularly moved by the psalm we read and I've been thinking about it on and off for most of today. I have always gravitated toward a positive way of thinking or in the case of this psalm "the light." Mr. O calls me an ever-optimist, with the obligatory eye roll, natch. Psalm 139: 1-11, 22-23. If I say, “Surely the darkness shall cover me,. And the light about me be night,”. Even the darkness is not dark to you;. The night is bright as the day,.

Then you go home and you're still thinking about the painting. That feeling is what makes me love art. S, Green River Cliffs. And here we come to the fall. There is no question what Cole is tellin...
