The airfield area itself, has largely been returned to farm land except for the Cakes and Ale Park, about 1/3rd of the main runway and a short section of perimeter track further down Harrow Lane. The north westerly runway still exists in its full length but has been reduced to a width of about 4 metres but cannot be viewed from public roads. A few old buildings still exist on the airfield and also on a domestic site but most are overgrown with vegetation and in poor condition.

Friends Of Leiston Airfield Official Gallery. In January 1944 I would have said to the troops of the 357th Fighter Group ‘Welcome to Leiston Airfield’. But it’s now August 2010 and to all you veterans and friends I say ‘Welcome to the Cakes and Ale Park’. So what is the Cakes and Ale Park. I think, and my wife and I have been resident for 20 years, that it’s a very pleasant holiday caravan, or trailer park, a great escape from the hustle and bustle of London where we live. Entrance to Cake and Ale Park.

Kids N Kats Fishing Rodeo Scheduled For April 28th. The Kids N Kats Rodeo will be held on April 28, 2018 at Legion State Park in Louisville, MS. from 7:30 am-11 am. Rodeo is open to kids 4-14. Registration will begin at 7:30 with fishing rodeo beginning after opening ceremony. All children who participate must be accompanied by an adult.
