Feast or famine seems to be the theme over the last few months. I blame the weather but the being a fisherman a would! Lloyd's Fly Fishing Diary. My diary of fishing rivers and still waters. Sunday, 6 January 2013. River Hodder - January 5th. First river trip of the year and Phil and I arrived and were both itching to cast a fly line on running water, no thanks to the crappy Christmas weather/ river conditions. The Grayling took some time to find but we got there in the end! Czech nyphing was the order of the day and by the end of session I had learnt al lot, (most of which I had probably forgot from last year!

Lloyd's Fly Fishing Diary. My diary of fishing rivers and still waters. Tuesday, 22 February 2011. Attended a weekend course with Gwilym Hughes to get some tips on how to Czech Nymph more effectively this year through out the season. Some great Grayling were caught by my mate Phil the biggest being 42cm! I however was not quite so lucky. Gwilym did show us how to tie some great flies during the course, (see examples below). A Cased Caddis imitation. Barnsfold with BFT 6th February 2011. Not a bad Rainbow.
