Take one of the many recent examples: my husband and I were innocently walking down the street on our way to a sandwich shop. As we passed a group of people talking to one another, one of them stopped in mid-sentence and yelled out, “Ooooo, girl! Yes, I currently have a medi...

Girl in the Rain. A Displaced Seattleite Wandering the Globe. Saturday, July 13, 2013. A “Tour” of Duty. At 4:44 pm by graceandpoise. A lot has changed over the past three years. At work, Husband and I have both gotten promotions, and we learned a lot about how the DC side of the sausage gets made. At home, we invested in some pieces of “grown-up” furniture, learned – or invented – a few good new recipes, and welcomed a new tiny human into our family. Leave a Reply Cancel reply. So I’ve been in Serbo-Croatian (“Serbian Variant”) language classes since right around Labor Day. I can construct some complete sentences now. Sometimes those sentences are grammatically correct. Sometimes. A couple of weeks ago, one of the instructors told me, “You really need to murder your Bulgarian – it’s holding you back.”. Why must one die for the other to live? How could the spellin...

https://yellowbuttercup.wordpress.com/2011/12/23/christmas-countdown
Living it up in Fun Central. Published Friday, 23 December, 2011. Today, we made and baked holiday biscotti (biscotti with lemon zest, pistachios, and cranberries) and gingerbread. The house smells AMAZING! For dinner I am making a roasted shallot, pepper, and tomato tart, YUM! Some of the biscotti are form Pen’s “love” Aaron (one of Tim’s coworkers and Annie’s godfather). It is so cute, Pen’s first crush! Time to go dip my biscotti in melted white chocolate and decorate with green or red course sugar!

The girls and I had fun walking outside in the snowflakes. Pen enjoyed splashing in puddles, until she fell on her hands and knees and was soaked in freezing cold water from head to toe. She was comforted from the trauma by a blanket (after her clothes were changed of course), pop-pop (popcorn), and “Cars”. 8220;Best Dinner Ever” Recipe. Girl in the Rain.
