The Quilting Doberman: November 2014
http://thequiltingdoberman.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html
Saturday, November 29, 2014. First Snow of the Season. With much annoyance I welcome the first snow of the season. Nim was very surly in it this morning so it was hard to get photos. He did not like the heavy rain yesterday at all, so this snow is a welcome changed for him and made him playful. Since I am home bound I might put a binding on this quilt today. I finished quilting the top last night. Thursday, November 27, 2014. He got to hike with new friend Kelsey. Like all dogs, she was mystified by ...

The Quilting Doberman: October 2014
http://thequiltingdoberman.blogspot.com/2014_10_01_archive.html
Thursday, October 30, 2014. Love, Gypsy, Maggie and Nim. This is probably one of my top holidays and I feel like I have done nothing.not even black nail polish! Last weekend mom and I took the pups out for photos and a little early Halloween celebrating. First, we went to PetSmart. They all got their matching costumes there. Nim's head part wouldn't fit over his big giant head and neck. And Maggie wouldn't stop talking about her feelings. Nim was a little confused. Gypsy, well. It is hard being Gypsy.

The Quilting Doberman: Early Tokul Walk
http://thequiltingdoberman.blogspot.com/2015/07/early-tokul-walk.html
Thursday, July 2, 2015. Today is another day in the 90s. I am positive I am not the only one that saw the altered forecast for the weekend and swore. We are just not getting a break right now. A friend and I decided to meet at 6am and walk the dogs. I am grateful she got me out the door. The heat and nights of not sleeping tend to make you lethargic. Honestly, we could have met at 4am and it still would have been hot and we still would have been swarmed by bugs. :). July 4, 2015 at 4:55 AM. I love hiking...

The Quilting Doberman: Hello Babies
http://thequiltingdoberman.blogspot.com/2015/07/hello-babies.html
Wednesday, July 22, 2015. This summer I have been working like crazy to open up parts of the yard that are historically used for the wildlife traffic. I think the past 2 years of neglect is not only closing in the yard, but discouraging the wildlife. Between yesterday's bear (who I actually think never cares what the yard looks like) and today's small elk herd I am thinking my efforts might be paying off. I have also had persistent deer this year.probably in part thanks to the plum tree. July 22, 2015 at...

The Quilting Doberman: September 2014
http://thequiltingdoberman.blogspot.com/2014_09_01_archive.html
Friday, September 26, 2014. Study Weekend and Study Motivation List. Well this is what Nim's Friday morning looked like. He took his time getting up. I think he wonders sometimes what I think I am doing so early in the morning.especially when it is dark outside. When Nim finally did get up he had breakfast with Emile. Most mornings I try to move Emile, but sometimes I just give up. I swear Nim moves to the side to give Emile a spot. Regaining a personal life. Increased dog training time. A couple of week...

The Quilting Doberman: December 2014
http://thequiltingdoberman.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 31, 2014. Here it is, New Year's Eve and I have yet to pick out my fabric. Oh well, I refused to be stressed about my favorite annual quilting event. I might look through my stash a bit tonight, or it all is just going to have to happen tomorrow. We are in such a freeze right now. I need to fill my feeders tomorrow. In other news I got along with my sewing machine today and finished binding this quilt. Generally when I have issues with this machine it is around the bobbin. I have been...

The Quilting Doberman: June 2015
http://thequiltingdoberman.blogspot.com/2015_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 26, 2015. PSK9 UKC WA Classic - Argus Ranch Auburn 6/26/2015. Today was a HOT day at a great show! I thought I had entered this show last year, but I think I am misremembering. PSK9s. Is a great club that does a lot of great local work. I am extra passionate about them because I know several of the members and organizers and they are all handlers I respect and enjoy working with. At least the Rally Obedience was in the barn and not under the blaring sun. But it was hot all the same. Maggie e...

The Quilting Doberman: May 2015
http://thequiltingdoberman.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html
Thursday, May 28, 2015. The heat has arrived! Nim tolerated an early morning trip for plants, shopping at Costco and swimming lessons. Then we scooted home so I could garden for study breaks. By the way, check out the Big Lots chair purchase in the background. :) I don't know why I waited so long to get a lounge chair. I tried a pumpkin again (why are they so hard to grow? The garden baskets are filling out nicely. After his early morning shopping and swimming Nim was pooped! Tuesday, May 26, 2015. I was...

The Quilting Doberman: Bad Bear
http://thequiltingdoberman.blogspot.com/2015/08/bad-bear.html
Wednesday, August 12, 2015. I tell you, this bear is pushing it. This has been my worst year. I have cleaned up so much neighbor garbage out of my yard. And now, not only is he disagreeable to photograph (which I respect because he really shouldn't be comfortable in my yard anyway) and a litterbug, but on Tuesday he took out a section of my fence. :. Nim posing with damaged fence - Instagram Photo. Nim says he didn't do it. The section he destroyed is not actually the section I have been watching:. I als...

The Quilting Doberman: July 2015
http://thequiltingdoberman.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
Friday, July 24, 2015. We are actually looking at maybe some rain today. I predict the rain to arrive right when my repair people show up. This morning I looked out and this bunny was in one of Nim's beloved dirt troughs. That is his bear and deer watching one to be exact. Nim isn't allowed in his dirt right now because he just had a bath for some obedience competitions this weekend. I am glad the bunny put some time kicking and smelling it up for him. I am sure Nim will be thrilled. This summer I have b...
