Fishing with the Merrill Boys. Thursday, April 30, 2015. Fishing with Vin Diesel and Paul Walker (a.k.a. fast and furious). OK, it didn't start that way, but it ended that way, which is what we remember most. I (Rick) met Kirk Morris at a walk-in lake in the Columbia Basin where he has fished a couple times and found both rainbows and largemouth bass. He was there early, and had just caught the biggest bass of his life when I arrived and helped with the photos. It was pretty chunky. Kirk and his bass.

Fishing with the Merrill Boys. Wednesday, July 8, 2015. Last day in Utah gave me (Rick) a little time to join the daily crowd on the Middle Provo. This is a beautiful section of river, reconstructed a number of years ago from a diked channel to a natural meandering river channel. Fish populations responded favorably, and the river now has a population in the range of 3000 fish per mile. Lots of fish, but not necessarily easy to catch. First brown to hand. Left about 3:15 this morning to pick up Melinda and a friend from the Especially for Youth camp at University of Puget Sound in Tacoma. Caught the first morning light on Mt Rainier looking up the White River Valley. Picked up the girls and told them we'd be travelling my style - stopping along the way, including a try at picking up stream 125.. Sunrise on Mt Rainier.
