NIH needs a kick in the butt. - FibroMyAss

http://fibromyass.livejournal.com/1636.html

NIH needs a kick in the butt. Some scientists speculate that a person's genes may regulate the way his or her body processes painful stimuli. According to this theory, people with fibromyalgia may have a gene or genes that cause them to react strongly to stimuli that most people would not perceive as painful. However, those genes if they, in fact, exist have not been identified.". From NIH Publication NO. 04-5326, dated June 2004. Http:/ www.niams.nih.gov/hi/topics/fibr. Powered by LiveJournal.com.

http://fibromyass.livejournal.com/2436.html

Waves a hello at all the lovely people*. I've been saying for years that fibro (for me at least) was a crock of shit and a way for my Drs *not* to find out what was really wrong with me. I was diagnosed ten years ago and three years ago started fighting the diagnosis and pills. two years ago started switching up Drs and going to specialists. now I have found out that I have. 3) an overgrowth of candida in my body which causes almost every symptom I've been dealing with minus the myofacial pain. Since goi...

http://fibromyass.livejournal.com/2149.html

I liked that this site stated sources, actual references to support what they say in their description, so I thought I would share:. I may as well combine this with a quick personal update as well. I am picky with doctors and quick to fire them, but still like a lot about how he manages things so I'm trying to be patient. He is on vacation now so I won't see him again for 2 weeks. That's it. Taking quite an effort to stay sane here. PS, more of you should post. Posted on Jul. 15th, 2006 at 10:51 pm.

Fibromyarseache My life with Fibromyalgia :0) xxxJoolsxxx. Thursday, 25 August 2016. It's not all mobility cars and carers :0(. Where do I start? I was thinking the other day after being scalded for the third time in one shower that a lot of people have a warped idea of disability in this country. They think it's all free cars and parking and home helps and sunshine! That couldn't be further from the truth! Thanks for reading this far (if you did). Just wanted to show the real picture of disability in Yo...

Fibromyalgia is not a diagnosis, it's a dangerous fad!

Why do I care? Take this page down! Fibromyalgia is not a diagnosis, it's a dangerous fad. A fibromyalgia diagnosis means that you have pain and other symptoms and the doctors have no idea why. It's an "other box" for symptoms not easily diagnosed. Researching it is pointless, they are not going to find a common cause or cure. Who really thinks that every pain not easily diagnosed by modern medicine is caused by the same or similar things? The blood test for fibromyalgia is bogus. There are no studies wi...
