The Nash Conservatory was one of four conservatories designed by John Nash for Buckingham Palace, seen here. William IV had one of them moved to Kew in 1836 and modified by the architect, Sir Jeffry Wyatville. Its twelve Ionic columns are said to have come from Carlton House, the London residence of the Prince Regent. It is now being restored.
