The Lead Horse - History

The Lead Horse Bed and Breakfast. Is located in this historic landmark also known as The Cedars. And is indeed the proprietors home. The House is on the National Historic Registry. Much to the skepticism of the local people in the 1870s was the inclusion of a central heating system. The home also had running water and closets in the bedrooms! Of particular interest and beauty are the massive, solid, native walnut doors, trim and open sweeping staircase - a gem of outstanding craftsmanship.
