The East Torrens Historical Society Reading Room and Library are situated in the south-western corner of The Summit Community Centre, 1 Crescent Drive, NORTON SUMMIT SA 5136. Over recent years (since we have had a place to spread out and work in) society members have made a great effort to catalogue our paper-based collection. A group of energetic members gather twice monthly to continue this most necessary task. The Society has an extensive library and are adding to it.

Everyone is invited to attend East Torrens Historical Society meetings. The meetings are held at 7.30pm on the second Wednesday of every second month namely February, April, June, August and October at The Summit Community Centre, 1 Crescent Drive Norton Summit. Committee meetings are held at 7.30pm on the second Tuesday of every second month unless otherwise advised. Deadlines for Newsletter articles are 3rd week of January, March, May, July and September. Strip built sea kayak, designed by Björn Thomasson. Last couple of days i’ve been adding layers of resin to the hatches, coaming and lip. Also added one layer of carbon on the hatches to make them stronger and better looking. You gotta love carbon, it looks fancy. Just hope i can get a nice finish to them.
