Rabbit's World: March 2012
http://rabbitknitz.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Knitting, Hiking, Eating, Being in the Redwoods. Saturday, March 24, 2012. Omigosh, two posts in one day? Well, this is really a quickie, so I am not counting it as a real post. This is mostly an update to keep myself on track with my promise to finish things this year. My current UFO count on Ravelry stands at 12, which is one less than the end of the year. I have actually started and finished a couple things, but let's look at "2012 FO's, The Story So Far.". Hey, I am sensing a pattern here. I have not...

Rabbit's World: November 2011
http://rabbitknitz.blogspot.com/2011_11_01_archive.html
Knitting, Hiking, Eating, Being in the Redwoods. Sunday, November 6, 2011. Tying Up Loose Ends. I have a couple of decorative urn baskets that sit next to my usual place on the couch. They contain yarn I want to keep on the surface of my stash and projects that are mostly done. I have had a tendency of late to ignore the contents. I had a spare moment this morning before darling P woke up so I sat with my coffee and my crochet hook and wove in the ends of my orange Citron. As it has come to be know. ...

Knitting, Hiking, Eating, Being in the Redwoods. Saturday, February 11, 2012. I noticed one of my Ravelry friends was missing this morning. It's not that I regularly check on these things. Rabbit's World: June 2011
http://rabbitknitz.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
Knitting, Hiking, Eating, Being in the Redwoods. Sunday, June 19, 2011. I thought this would be an easy project, a no-brainer, a piece of cake. I was wrong. I bought two big muffs of the stuff, each in an ombred colors, one in blues and greens, the other in reds and fushia pinks. Still, there was always this sweater- my cocoon sweater- that was a completed project, that I really liked and that I had made up on my own. Now I have a motivation. My favorite shop here in town- Northcoast Knittery. A Few Stit...

Rabbit's World: December 2011
http://rabbitknitz.blogspot.com/2011_12_01_archive.html
Knitting, Hiking, Eating, Being in the Redwoods. Saturday, December 31, 2011. I recently scanned back over my old blog posts a couple days ago as part of my ongoing self assessment prior to End-2011. Every year brings on a new me and 2012 will be a new Rabbit, a version 49.0, as it were. My relief has been my knitting, I will admit, which has really take off this year. I took a series of workshops in May with Cat Bordhi (squeeee! Because I was NOT HAVING FUN. Saturday, December 17, 2011. I have tended to...

Laminaria - Spring 2008 - Knitty
http://www.knitty.com/ISSUEspring08/PATTlaminaria.html
I fell in love with Estonian lace for its beautiful undulating forms. The curving lines and blossoms of this shawl, coupled with the spectacular green of the Fleece Artist yarn, also suggest the waving fronds and floats of an undersea kelp forest. This pattern will challenge you with uniquely Estonian stitches. Also, stitch markers are tricky to place in these pattern stitches, so being able to read your knitting is a must!
