An Educator's Guide to the Classroom: Away for a While. Now I'm Back!
http://www.educatorsguide.blogspot.com/2012/10/away-for-while-now-im-back.html
An Educator's Guide to the Classroom. I've combined the tips and ideas from my previous teaching blogs into one easy-to-search site. Use, share, contribute, enjoy! October 2, 2012. Away for a While. Now I'm Back! I truly apologize for being MIA. In the last two months, we moved to a new home, started the kids in a new school district, and traveled away for my brother's wedding. Add to that an arm injury that kept me out of commission for a while, and here we are. That said, let's move on. And away we go!

An Educator's Guide to the Classroom. I've combined the tips and ideas from my previous teaching blogs into one easy-to-search site. Use, share, contribute, enjoy! July 16, 2012. I was in my favorite store. A few days ago and was taken by the display of school supplies. If you know me, you know I LOVE school supplies. I firmly believe nothing cheers you up like a shiny new pen. Some may argue, but that's my story and I'm sticking to it. Because some of the models have zipper pockets for storage of pens(!

An Educator's Guide to the Classroom. I've combined the tips and ideas from my previous teaching blogs into one easy-to-search site. Use, share, contribute, enjoy! October 8, 2012. At this point of the school year, you have probably sent out progress reports and are preparing for the end of the quarter. This of course means you are also preparing for report card conferences. 1 Grade-level curriculum is written for the middle-of-the-group learner. Not difficult, but not easy. October 2, 2012. I truly apol...
An Educator's Guide to the Classroom: Day 179: End-of-the-Year Party!
http://www.educatorsguide.blogspot.com/2011/06/day-179-end-of-year-party.html
An Educator's Guide to the Classroom. I've combined the tips and ideas from my previous teaching blogs into one easy-to-search site. Use, share, contribute, enjoy! June 26, 2011. Day 179: End-of-the-Year Party! Day 179 was our End-of-the-Year Party. If your school is like mine, the "party" is somewhat of a wrap-up to everything. The final segment is about me: Did I treat them fairly? Did they feel safe? What was the best/worst advice I gave them? After the hugs and tears and more hugs, I took the student...

An Educator's Guide to the Classroom. I've combined the tips and ideas from my previous teaching blogs into one easy-to-search site. Use, share, contribute, enjoy! February 23, 2011. Day 108: Yet ANOTHER Two-Hour Delay! Ah The snow that was supposed to fall Monday night came down like it was it's JOB. Here's the thing: When I left physical therapy at 7 p.m, the sky was dark and there were just a few stray snowflakes. No big deal, right? By 9 pm, there was about three inches on the ground. What? My studen...

Educators: The Get Real Tour - Home
Educators: The Get Real Tour. Welcome to our blog."The Get Real Tour for Educators". So why a blog? Those of us who are truly committed to the intellectual growth of our students know that much of what we are forced to do in our classrooms is nothing more than animal defecation! Are our schools meeting their politically designed targets? Are our students smarter? We are now failing on so many levels that it almost defies measurement! Why the teachers, OF COURSE! It is time to turn the clock back!
