DRYMEN and DISTRICT LOCAL HISTORY SOCIETY. Of the Society is to carry out research on topics relevant to the history of Drymen and district and to prepare reports to be included in the archive established in Drymen library. A number of topics were linked with members who had shown an interest in researching them or had already begun research. The initial aim was to produce 7 papers but such was the enthusiasm that eleven papers were prepared and most exceeded the proposed length! The eleven papers are :-.

The present Church Building, listed as a Category B building of Special Architectural or Historic Interest, stands on a site which has been a centre of Christian worship for many hundreds of years, possibly since the 11th Century.
